1:1 online cookery courses for 11-16 year olds

At cookerybyalfie, we strive to provide children and teenagers with sufficient culinary skills to ensure they can safely and effectively cook meals, deserts and recipes. We provide a fully interactive course with our young trained chef Alf, the benefits of cooking with a young chef are being able to be open, ask questions without the pressure of an older adult, cooking with a young chef creates a less intimidating, more natural and comfortable environment as the student has common grounds with the young chef. Alf, is trained to the standards of an adult chef, with the same skills and safety training. In addition, give your child a head starter in cookery at school, teach valuable life skills and become safe in a kitchen !

Whats Included ?

  • 90 minute 1:1 online cookery course,

  • Learn basics, knife skills, food safety and hygiene skills,

  • Fully interactive course with a trained young chef,

  • Prepare and cook a nutritious, budget friendly recipe (vegan, vegetarian and cultural options available,)

  • A chance to ask as many questions as you would like,

  • A certificate on completion,

  • A short theory lesson on health, nutrition and culinary careers.

  • £35.00 per student

  • This course will take place online via teams (available on mobile, tablet, or laptop)

  • Students purchase their own ingredients (a list will be sent before your course)

  • Please let us know if there are any skills you would like to learn in particular.

  • Don’t have the equipment required ? - Don’t panic ! we will find you a different recipe.

  • Dependant on age, an adult may need to supervise the student.
